Everyday at the Willie Mae Stokes Community Center, we witness the power of community in action. Since our founding in 2017 we have grown from a vision to address the needs of Micanopy’s youth and families into a vibrant hub that transforms lives across our community. The numbers tell a powerful story: every day we serve over 75 youth through our Celebrating Success After-School program providing them with not just supervision but opportunity, each of our program participants obtained level gains in both math and reading. Our impact reaches far beyond our walls.

 

• We provided 70 children with laptops closing the digital divide.

• Each year we provide our families with turkeys for Thanksgiving.

• We provide 100 students with fully stocked backpacks for school to support their educational needs annually. 

• Our healthcare initiative brings essential services to the residents of Micanopy of a weekly basis.
